HARRISON, NY – Lansdowne Rugby Football Club eased back into pre-season, entering a touch rugby tournament held at Manhattanville College. It was a much workout for the players, many of whom have been taking a much needed break after the lengthy 2019 Championship winning season.
“It’s good that the players got a nice run,” remarked Stephen Grenham.
The squad went 1-4 in their 8 minute matches, rotating a squad of mostly veteran forwards and potential new recruits.
“Overall, this is a good warm up before we fully resume training for the upcoming spring fixtures,” said Patrick Murphy.
Lansdowne look forward to training again at Randall’s Island, leading up to their first match against North Jersey RFC on April 4th. Training will be announced on our website and social media. All interested prospects are encouraged to fill out our recruitment form by clicking here.
